“The Decade Ahead” – An attractive, sustainable and safe campus that offers a high quality of life to faculty, staff, students, alumni and the community, making UF a desirable place to visit, live, work and play.
The color palette and furnishings were selected to match the Institutes upbeat atmosphere. Classroom spaces were designed to be flexible and support group work. The new demonstration area allows for events with furnishings able to be utilized for hands-on learning or a stand-up demonstration.
Flexible furniture was selected by PDC Interiors for the new PK Yonge high school classrooms. Furniture included café height tables and chairs, desk height and lounge furniture. All furnishings can be easily re-configured to allow for large and small group learning. The building color palette has been integrated into the furnishings to create a mobile, colorful, visually appealing learning space.
Comfortable and home like furnishings were selected by PDC Interiors Group for the new Institute of Black Culture and the Institute of Hispanic and Latino Culture buildings. “Living rooms” were created to mimic the historic homes the Institutes previously occupied. Commercial furnishings were used in offices and collaborative spaces. The colorful palettes were key with flexible moveable furnishings for events.
